Quaint little shop nearby lake Toya. Western japanese food joint. After a meal there can take a stroll around the lake and gaze the majestic mount Yotei!

Lovely people who made us feel welcome. Service was straightfoward, and they were very helpful tp us non-Japanese speakers. Food was great - I enjoyed the crab fried rice and Napolitano. The hamburger steak was tasty too.

Love this place that's decorated with dark wood furnishings, loads of famous Japanese people pictures on the walls. It's celebrating its 70th anniversary! Warm and relaxed atmosphere. Has its own parking lot right across the street. It can accommodate groups, which is not usual for Japanese restaurants. Menu consists of hamburger steak (signature dish that comes in various weights, actually!), pork cutlets, curry rice dishes, fish, gratin dishes, sandwiches, and even spaghetti - you can say this is Japanese interpretation of western dishes but they taste great. My favourite is their hamburger steak while the curry sauce is fabulous. The best deal is the set that comes with a soup and coffee besides the main dish. There's an English menu, so do not despair. Service is brisk and friendly. Go visit a vintage classic car shop next door - it's got an amazing collection.

A very lovely small family-run Japanese Western restaurant. They're playing music with an old machine inside the shop and there're old photos of the family on the wall. Food is good and we really enjoyed the vibe.

This restaurant has been around for 72 years, so it has a wonderful family owned business feel. And it serves great comfort food. However, since it’s so popular, it does take around 40 minutes to cook the food. But on the positive side, the staff has simple signs to help them communicate with foreign guests.My friends hamburger was really good, but the asparagus was nothing special. And my salad was also nothing special.

Very nice place to have lunch. We were at Lake Toya and was looking for a place for lunch. Chanced upon this small restaurant. The steak was good and the service was excellent. Worth the visit and definitely recommended for future visits

We came to Abuta on our way to Noboribetsu and found this restaurant purely by chance. Though it says 'Cafe' in the store sign, it is much more than a simple establishment for hot beverages. Built out of an old but expertly renovated structure, the restaurant oozes charm and history. The menu, with pasta, port cutlet, etc., has a western lean and not too limited. Food was delicious and portions were more than adequate. Bonus: coffee was above average!

Good place for people who want to enjoy western japanese food.

The food me and my friends ordered were great. It opens at 11 and we got there around 11:05 and it was already filled with people. The food took a while to come out but the food was great so it was a good experience in the end.

Quaint shop with very friendly servers. They have a little notepad with English words on it to help them when they order. The food was amazing!

Outstanding curry

Wonderful gem that does not take reservations. Wait is about 15-30 mins. Order the Pork Cutlet curry rice. Would return if back to Lake Toya.

Ordered the hamburg steak and the pork chop special set. Hamburg steak was excellent. Pork chop was crispy but was too tough. Corn soup was delicious. Quite a huge serving size for a Japanese restaurant. Nice instrumental music was playing in the background. Staff was also friendly to inform about the daily fireworks from 8.45pm to 9.05pm at the lake toya waterfront.

Great service by the nice Japanese lady, patient and clear in her explanation. Food was great, had the Hamburg signature and pork chop, pork seems to be great everywhere in Hokkaido we went.

Amazing tasting food that is one of the restaurants open in lake toya. It was and probably is one of the best tasting restaurants around with friendly staff as usual and delicious Japanese Western Fusion foods. Tried about 3-4 restaurants around the area and definitely this is one of the best restaurants. Try the cheesecake, Napoletana (Add some tobascco sauce to top it off), Omurice (Excellent tasting egg and tomato based rice), and a Delicious Hamburg Steak. Definitely give this one a go!

Recommend omelette rice and Beef pork paties hamburger. The omelette is so smooth and taste so good with the sauce.

Good ambience and good food. After all japanese cuisine we thought of getting a break and had italian course and it was great prepared and nice food in toyako city.

Require young children to be very quiet in the restaurant. Should put up a sign that young children not welcome. Food is above average not fantastic.

Great location nearby Lake Toya cruising tour and pier, excellent food and services. Ice cream is a highlight! Main course has very big portion!

Nice little cafe there. But families with kids who love ipad or hand phone better keep the volume off if not the waitress will come and tell you off. Everything there are very compact even the toilet and ladies who goes to the toilet got to be careful because it is a share gender toilet. You might never know who is next door or if there is a pervert taking photo of you

The best food is the hamburger! There are a lot of tourist so make sure you went early if you do not want to wait outside.
